Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar

I have always been fascinated with mixing my own colors.  One of my favorite things to do as a makeup artist is to create a color by mixing different mediums.  There are so many fantastic pigments, glimmers, creams and paints that you can make any color you desire.   Makeup companies have really responded to the makeup artist cries for new and inventive products that will let our creativity explode!

One of the best companies out there for makeup artists is Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.  They embrace the philosophy that makeup has no boundaries, and should inspire you to think outside the box.  Their products are vegan, and the quality is stellar.  They are called Obsessive Compulsive because you can never get enough!

My newest “obsession” is their Lip Tar.  Pha-Nominal! This is truly one of the coolest products I have tried in a very long time.  It was the biggest buzz at The Makeup Show, and for a very good reason! The Lip Tar is a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid that dries down to a satin finish (it literally will not come rub off…I tried!).  It also boasts some of the most intense and vivid pigments to come out of a lip product, so a little goes a very long way.  The only ingredients are Castor Oil, Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil, and Vitamin E.  This is one product that will satisfy the pickiest of makeup artists, to the savviest of consumers.

Makeup Artist Tip:  This makeup line also boasts an incredible range of Loose Pigments that are great to blend in with the Lip Tars.  For an everyday look, blend either Uber, Melange, or Grandma with a soft glimmer such as Flicker or Glisten.  Another amazing way to use the Lip Tar is to blend the Clear with any glimmer that you like!  For a beautiful red, blend Clear with Red Light.
